Holiday Project for Homeless Youth

Some of you helped out last year with the "stocking project" I organized for Youth on Fire- the drop-in center for homeless youth located in Harvard Square. This year a few other local LJers and I are organizing a similar project. Instead of stuffing stockings, we are filling backpacks for homeless youth with toiletries, hats, gloves, scarves, socks and other items.

If you are interested in donating supplies, making a paypal donation to the project or helping us wrap gifts and stuff the backpacks, go join homelessholiday. I'll be updating there regularly on the project and how you can help. :)

Also- Youth on Fire will continue to be desparately in need of blankets and sleeping bags all winter. If you have any laying around you aren't using, they can be dropped off at 1555 Mass Ave, Cambridge ( M, W,Th, F 12-6pm). Thank you so much to those of you who have already donated some.
