Join us for services and a dairy/vegetarian Shabbat dinner followed by A Yiddish Poet's Purim Songs taught by Larry Rosenwald. Dinner and the class are free, but * * you must register by Feb. 19! * * RSVP to registrar@thehav.org or 617-623-3376. We regularly provide dairy-free and gluten-free options at dinner. But if you have specific food needs, let us know asap. Services at Havurat Shalom are egalitarian, lay-led and usually involve a lot of singing.
This class will look at “Megilelider,” the Purim shpil written by Yiddish poet Itzik Manger.
Lawrence Rosenwald is the Anne Pierce Rogers Professor of English at Wellesley College, the author (most recently) of _Multilingual America_, a prolific writer of theater verse, and a member of Havurat Shalom.
