just wanted to give my official praise for the house of tibet on holland street (technically it's more up toward ball square, but let's not nitpick, shall we?). the service is great, it's small & quiet (making it a perfect place for dates, saw a few couples there) and the food is both very delicious and reasonably priced. ample vegetarian options.

also, while i'm talking about things not technically in davis, how about that city video over in porter? is that the best place for single people with no dating prospects or what? the kids there are always willing to make an intelligent recommendation based on a few vague parameters that i provide -- they do a pretty damn good job. and, hello -- they have a whole WALL for campy movies.
