Stinky our local skunk was out and about last night, and it made me think about the other critters in our neighborhood. Skunks seem almost common; I've also seen possums, raccoons, and interrupted a half-grown hawk behind Store 24 one afternoon--he'd taken down a starling that was as big as he was, and was trying to peck it to death while it thrashed and shrieked. I ran him off, the dorkus. :P
