Walking by the mostly-defunct auto body shop at Morrison & Willow this AM, I noticed some construction trucks on-site. (Distinct from the ongoing under-the-street work by the bike path). One truck labelled something like "Professional Concrete Cutting" (Which also featured "Demolition Robots"...Yikes!) The other something like "New Hampshire Boring."

I know there was a plan floated to raze the building, dig an underground parking garage, and construct an all-new condo building. From the trucks, it looks like they're checking out the condition of the ground under the shop...Which I imagine is a toxic wasteland as the result of being under an auto body shop.

Anybody know if there's been movement forward on this? City approvals or some such?

My Mom has three male 10-week-old kittens that are driving her older cats insane. She's willing to come visit me Tuesday (as in, tomorrow) around lunchtime and bring some or all of them down with her if I can find people who will come and take them. You'd have to let me know by 9 AM, though, since she's got 3 hours of driving to get down here.

Any takers? One is a striped, lanky grey-and-white that I like to call Aragorn/Strider, one is buff and white, and one is black and white. They are all adorable, of course. :) Wish I could take them, but we can't handle another cat in this apartment.

Call me at (617)869-7912 (cell phone). Thanks!
