Join us on this statewide anti-poverty march across low-income Massachusetts. As our State's situation worsens, we remember the 36th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King that took place in the midst of organizing the Poor People's March on Washington.




SOMERVILLE Friday April 2
2PM Rally at Mystic Housing Development (530 Mystic Avenue). March to Union Square for a 3PM rally.
March to Davis Square for a rally from 5-6PM. Learn about the local housing crisis and what you can do to help. Learn how the budget crisis is affecting your neighbors. Join together to raise our voices for economic justice for all. As the situation in Somerville worsens, a sense of urgency and moral outrage has been slow to follow. Lend your voice to this human rights struggle!

CHELSEA Saturday April 3
10AM Gather at Chelsea City Hall.
March to Centro Latino (267 Broadway, Chelsea)
Support the vital community programs under attack from bugdet cuts.

CAMBRIDGE Saturday April 3
2PM Rally at Youth on Fire drop-in center for homeless youth (1555 Mass Ave, by Cambridge Common). March to Harvard Square, then down Putnam Ave into Cambridgeport, hearing some history of the housing crisis in Cambridge. Then march to 59 Norfolk Street in Area 4, and hear about a permanent affordable housing success.
Then Rally from 5-6pm in Lafayette Square, across from Salvation Army (where Mass Ave & Main St. meet). Hear about the disruption to our community from Harvard and MIT and take a stand against further
disruption.

BOSTON Sunday April 4
Don't miss the Boston March/Statewide March finale Sunday April 4. Two 10AM rallies, one at 12th Baptist Church (160 Warren St, Roxbury), one at the proposed BU Bio-lab site (10-12 Northampton St), will merge at Boston Medical Center, speak out for healthcare. Gather at Harriet Tubman House. March up Columbus, Dartmouth, Newbury, Arlington, Boylston, Washington, Avery St. Speak out for the Right to Organize And Housing and Homeless at Ritz Carlton.

Final Rally: 3-5PM, Boston Common/Shaw's Memorial (across from the State House - Beacon and Park Sts.). Performances by The Foundation, The Raging Grannies, refreshments, Economic Justice and Human Rights Panel hears marchers' stories.
