I found someone's "Timeline" address book in Davis Square last Sunday. It's about three-by-five inches, and brown leather, with handwritten names, phone numbers, and addresses in it. My guess is that the handwriting belongs to a woman. She's from another country, I am guessing the Netherlands. There's a schedule for the Dance Complex in the back of the book. Maybe I'll just drop it off there, if I don't hear anything on LJ. I'd thought about calling random people from the book - there are a lot of 617 numbers - but first off, I don't want to bug anyone, and second, how would they be able to figure out whose book they were listed in? Anyway, if you all know anyone who might have lost her address book, let me know.

can anyone recommend a real hardware store in the area? the sort of place that stocks parts for lawnmower engines, that sort of thing. i need some fuel line for a motorcycle; the dealers can't help me, and auto parts stores carry only high-pressure fuel line in sizes too small or too large for this application, or vacuum hoses too small.

i'm basically looking for a good old fashioned hardware store that carries a bit of everything. Tags and Economy Hardware don't have what i'm looking for.

any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

My roommate and I are looking for someone to sign a one-year lease (July-July) because our other roomate is moving. If we can't find someone to sign a lease starting in July, we may be interested in a shorter term deal (like July & August). We're trying to get people to come by tonight to see the place.

The details:

One room in a 3BR apt, only 2 1/2 blocks from Davis Square T-stop.
Third floor of a 3-family house, right across the street from
Mr. Crepe & Dave's Fresh Pasta
.

$667 plus utilities, 1st and last month's rent.

Lots of windows and natural light, hardwood floors,
nice kitchen with newish appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher)
and free washer and dryer in apartment! Living room, dining room,
eat in kitchen, pantry, all pretty spacious.

The bedroom has private entry as well as entry through a second room
in the apartment. Good-sized room with good-sized closet. We may
be willing to move around (the other rooms rent for $620 and $700).
We've also got wireless 802.11g connection throughout the apt.

I'm late-20s, male, who digs astronomy and hates GWB, and have lived in
the apt for 4 years.

My roommate's a late-20s, female, into green architecture and GWB (j/k),
who's lived there for 3 years.
