Large bedroom with hardwood floor is available 4/1 in a four-bedroom apartment on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a two-family house in a safe, residential neighborhood in Davis Square. Current roommate moving in with girlfriend. Apartment has 2 baths, 2 large living rooms, large kitchen, 3 porches, dishwasher, and free laundry in kitchen. Cable/Internet running throughout, including to the bedrooms. The room comes with one off-street parking space. Drinking (etc) are OK inside but smoking is only allowed on porches. Housemates are 3 guys who are pretty laid back, ages 24-34. We are looking for an easy-going, fun, not-too-serious roomate. We're on Hawthorne Street, which is a 2-minute walk to the Rosebud Diner and 3-minute walk to the T (red line). First & last needed at move-in. Room could be empty as early as 3/20.

Magpie moved to Davis!

Magpie, a store run by some of the people who run the yearly Bazaar Bizarre, has moved from Huron Village to Davis Square (378A Highland St, next to Rock City Music and the comic book store) earlier this month.

They best summed themselves up on their website as, "We specialize in two main areas of interest: unique, quirky goods hand made by artists and craftspeople, and 'retro' antiques focusing on the best of 20th century American design. Need the perfect gift? Trust us, we got somethin."

Definitely an intriguing shop with really friendly owners. And I believe that they're looking for more local artists/crafters who might be interested in selling their work there.
