Hi everybody,
I am a resident of the Davis Square area and am a graduate student at Emerson college. I've been studying new media arts and am interested in how people interact with, maintain, use (or abuse) a piece of public 'art' on the Internet. This school project resulted in the following:

At your earliest convenience, please take a look to see if you would be interested in contributing content. You will be directed to the Main Page of Public Portrait, where you will find a brief introduction of the project. To read more, please click on the "About PublicPortrait" link at the bottom of the page.
The survival of a wiki project depends on edit entries from its users. Please consider adding your own portrait, and pass the word onto as many as you feel comfortable. This is not a chain-letter type project; nothing happens if you choose to ignore it. However, I do encourage everybody to check it out, especially if you are curious like me. Please also consider posting the link on your LJ to pass the word around.
Remember that, if you'd like to add a portrait for another person, you *must* ask them for their permission. The Public Portrait opinions can be difficult to take, so the person should have a choice on whether they wish to have a portrait. To read more about this, please click on the "Disclaimers" link at the bottom of the page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this post. Thank you for your time!
Angie
