I am just curious what my options are for high speed internet in the area. I need wireless and we currently pay $90/mo for rcn (with no home line or cable tv). Verizon doesn't seem to be available. Are there any others? Thanks for any input!

It's worth reading, as it covers various city initiatives which sound great but which I didn't even know about, such as the 311 hotline. I also like that it has the word "Slumerville" in the headline.

If you know of a nasty pothole in Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, or Somerville, take a photo and e-mail it as a jpeg to:

On Open Studios weekend I posted this suggestion here - that people text the Wiffiti screen at Someday with their studio recommendations as they walked around. I sent in a few, and later when I looked, I saw that some other people had done it too. I saved a screenshot:

hi! i was wondering what the going rates for dog walkers were in the area. my boyfriend & i are contemplating getting a dog, and this would factor into our decision. i'd also love recomendations if anyone had a particularly good dog walker who's reasonably priced.
