Following the release of his new “Spells from a Broken Wand” CD, wizard rocker Alex Carpenter is on a solo acoustic tour, wending his The Remus Lupins eastward from LA to the NYC/Boston corridor. When he arrives in Boston, his first stop is a used bookstore and rightly so, since as part of the wizard rock genre, The Remus Lupins plays songs that are inspired by the Harry Potter series. Carpenter and his The Remus Lupins embrace the fact that reading has become cool again. Since Carpenter’s mission is to add a rocking edge to this happy phenomenon, “Fight Evil, Read Books” has become his rule to live by.
