hi folks,
I have a vintage-modern sofa with chrome legs that I absolutely love. However, the wool upholstery does not play nice with my girlfriend's skin. It also has chrome legs that are a bit spotty, so if I can have that fixed/replaced at the same time all the better. Can anyone recommend a place that can fix it up? It's actually larger than our car, so some place that can also transport it would be super.

LJ has been a wealth of knowledge lately, so I'll give it another shot:

After the success of our punk-rock BBQ show this past weekend, Matthew and I have decided to throw another kick-arse all-ages event combining alternative local music and summer themes.
That's right - the wheels have been set in motion to throw a "punk-rock pool party smash"!

So here's what I need, information-wise. Do you know of a club, hotel, or organization (like a YMCA or something) that will acquiesce to the following demands:

1. Room/venue rental for at least 6-12 hours (hey, we're flexible!) on a Saturday or Sunday.
2. Has a PA and sound system and is live-music ready.
3. Must allow all-ages shows (all-ages and 21+ to drink with proper ID is best).
4. Has a swimming pool.

We'd like this for late July.

Please email me at Anderson@nepgmfest.com with suggestions, website links, etc.
Oh! And if you're in a band - punk, goth, metal, whatever - and might wanna play this, get in touch with me, too :)

I found a digital camera just outside the T station last night. Holland exit. It seems to have gotten beaten around, which makes me think someone didn't want it anymore, especially since there are no batteries and no memory card. Did someone lose it or did it just sneak out of the trash somehow?

If you're looking for one, describe it to me, and I'll give it back. Otherwise I know a sculptor who will be very happy to dismantle it.

Hi all,

I've moved, and I'm trying to sublet my old apartment for July and August. I thought I had a subletter, and she fell through. So I'm now willing to let the place go for less than I pay, and just eat the difference. I'm now asking $450, or best offer.

Anyone know anyone who needs a place ASAP? The landlord would love to find someone who wants to renew for a full year starting in September, but if you just want July and August, that's okay too.

It's 79 Rogers Ave, Somerville, right near Davis.

It's one room of a three bedroom apartment. The roommates are great, and the kitchen is huge with lots of storage. There's a dishwasher and disposal. I'll pay your utilities. Washer and dryer in the basement. One bathroom, but there's never been a problem because all three of us had such different schedules we never fought over it. There is a large basement with lots more storage. Free wireless internet. Great neighbors. On-site landlord. No smoking, no pets. Did I mention the
great kitchen? And the free utilities, including wireless internet?

I've left behind a bed, dresser, wardrobe, lamp, and space heater. We don't need duplicates in our new place, so they're yours to keep if you want them. Free. Or we can put them on the curb, if you've already got your own.

Please please please let me know if you know anyone who you think might be interested. My number is 512-426-0457.

I'm visiting relatives right now, but I'll be showing the place on Thursday and whenever I can thereafter, until I find someone.

Thanks!

Mary
