hey,

1. has anyone read about the midnight madness sale going on in the square tomorrow night? what stores are worth going to and are involved?

2. whats the closest full grocery store to the square?

3. are there any not-permit parking streets near the square? whats the closest way to park near the square w/out a permit?

& if a lot with meter parking says "8am to 8pm" does that mean you can only park there 8-8, or that you only have to pay the meter from 8-8?

Please comment!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!

Am looking for Sierra Club holiday cards, and/or others that are printed on recycled paper and provide support for progressive groups (like the Syracuse Cultural Workers). Any suggestions as to where to find these or others in the Somerville and Cambridge area?

FYI, a bit out of Davis, but since this board gets more traffic... The power went out about an hour ago for a big swathe (from Somerville up to Highland, between about Lowell and Central). Something about a manhole explosion near the Market Basket. I hope nobody got hurt because of either the explosion or the ensuing blackout - I did see an ambulance go by as I was leaving the area.

I temporarily relocated since I need to get some work done - if anyone notices the power back on in this neighborhood, would you let the rest of us know? Thanks!
