Does anyone know where I can get some of those great VILLEN stickers I see around town? I googled and found this guy, but in order to send him a message I apparently need to have a myspace account (which I don't have, and don't want)... surely there's another way to obtain this item?

(I have no idea how to tag this, btw -- I tagged it 'shopping' because there's no 'local pride' or 'villen' tag ;-)

Crossposted to CL, but reproduced here for your consideration:

20" flat screen TUBE television set, Philips model #20PT643R01. Sharp, sharp picture quality; good sound; clean cabinet with no marks or scuffs; and kept in a clean, non-smoking, cat-owning home. I've even managed not to lose the remote, and it comes to you with batteries. I am the second owner of this television, having purchased it from the original owner in June. This bad boy IS a tube set--about 20.5" deep and 23.5" wide--so be advised: though the surface of the screen is flat, the TV is a big honkin' tube set that likely requires two people to move (I can assist at pick up).

EDIT: Aaaaaand, it's taken. kthxbye.

Capone Foods is having a tasting event today from 12 to 5pm. According to their flyer, "We will be sampling many of the products we make, and demonstrating quick and easy meal ideas."

They are at 2285 Mass Ave., in Cambridge. If you haven't been there before, they are at Dover and Mass. Ave, about 5m walk down from Davis Square.

Their wild mushroom linguine and their roasted pepper ravioli are some of the best pastas I've ever had.

I cannot stress this enough--if you like good pastry at all, please go to Teele and try the new Soliel Cafe. Good cannoli, good flaky pastry (like lobster tails). Good brioche and croisants. Their fruit tarts are prettier and better tasting than the ones they sell in the case at Finale. Moreover, they are in our 'hood and open until 10. The idea of getting a cannoli craving after 8pm and not having to go stand in a stupid long line at Mike's or Modern fills me with unmeasurable joy.

Sandwiches are good too--notably, the meatball (no sauce!) and the caprese. I saw someone the other night with an awesome looking plate of spaghetti and meatballs as well. Go!

Several families on Wallace Street are having yard sales tomorrow Sunday 9/29, 9AM-3PM, although we may
start later if there are steady showers in the morning. Look for balloons marking the locations.

Funky and vintage items, housewares, clothes, books, bric-a-brac, etc.
