I got several copies of this e-mail, which advertises a worthwhile local event.

CANNED GOODS DRIVE AND CAROLING - CHILDREN WELCOME

Please join us for caroling around Davis Sq. on Thursday, Dec. 4th at 5:30 PM. We will begin by meeting outside the offices of the Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC) on the Dover Street side of One Davis Sq. (the building that houses CVS and Boston Sports Club). We will drop canned goods for the homeless at SHC beginning at 5:15 PM. At 5:30, we will be led in caroling around the square by members of Random Chants, a local women's a capella group.

After caroling, we will go to Green Tomato II at 187 Elm St. for a FREE pasta meal and something hot to drink, courtesy of Green Tomato. Please join us to support SHC and to make the square a festive place as we kick-off the Davis Sq. Midnight Madness shopping event at 6 PM.
