Public Meeting on future of the Powder House School Tuesday

The Powder House School is the no longer in use school building on Broadway near Teele - it's the one with the basketball courts and with the Tufts Administration Building on its same lot (facing Holland). The future of the property is currently under discussion, with proposals running from selling the land to help the struggling city budget, to building a community center, to renovating & relocating city offices there, and all sorts of things in between.

If you live near the school, or care about what may happen in its future, this is an important chance to learn where the city is in its process (they've been working with a real estate consultant on possible sale scenarios), and discuss how to balance the city's needs for green space, play space, community space, and especially in this tough year, revenue.

We are moving to JP next week and are having a yard sale tomorrow to try to get rid of stuff!

Where: 80 Orchard St. We are just off Boston Ave behind Tufts
When: Tomorrow, Saturday June 27th, 10-2. no early birds please
What: Sidewalk/porch sale. Women and men's clothes and shoes, books, VHS tapes (mostly anime) fabric and other craft stuff plus lots of miscellaneous stuff.

No electronics or appliances; furniture or antiques; baby or kid clothes or accessories (though there are some random toys).
