The former dry cleaning place next to Tu y Yo in Powderhouse has been papered over. There is a sign that says "Coming Soon Lucas D's". Anyone have the scoop on what this place will be?

Looking for a cheap, simple, used laptop

Does anyone have an old, low-end laptop sitting around collecting dust?

I'm asking on behalf of a friend without an LJ account, who is looking for a used laptop with the following specs:

- PC, not Mac
- has a power cord
- at least 256MB of RAM
- can have an ethernet cable plugged in
- screen doesn't matter as long as it's readable at all (screen will only get used during installation)
- OS doesn't matter; it'll be wiped and have Linux installed

Nice to have, but not required:

- at least 4GB of disk
