Raybern Co / Builders Specialty Hardware on Weston St. Teele Sq., sellers of hardware for doors, cabinets, windows, etc. is moving to Charlestown. The property has been sold and will be developed into 17 condos, "luxury" no doubt. This completes a long process for this property which used to have a lumberyard and specialty mill-work shop. The lumberyard was developed a while ago.

Yet another business leaves of Somerville. Sad that a longtime successful business tenant is not more valued than a quick development windfall but hey, these are market forces at work I guess.

Universal Hub reports that Dunkin' Donuts yesterday sued the owners of the 850 Broadway (Powderhouse) and 154 Highland Ave franchises.

The company claims that the franchisees wrongly reported their son's private school tuition as a charitable contribution, and forged the school headmaster's signature on a thank-you letter, in order to get reimbursed by the company's "marketing development fund".

Besides monetary damages, the company also wants the franchisees to remove Dunkin Donuts branding from the two Somerville stores and two others in Boston.

Thought this article might be of interest to the Davis Square community....as many of you probably walk the brick sidewalks daily.

FYI: Alderwoman Gewirtz, Alderman Connolly and DPW Commissioner Stan Koty met in Davis Square on Friday to identify areas of the square where the brick pavings are in need of repair. Click here to read more on SomervillePatch.com
