$20 for $40 at Diva Indian Bistro and Lounge; I have sent them mail about this, because in the past, the deals have always been for the restaurant only. This says Lounge in the title, but Diva Restaurant in the text. So I'd expect food in the restaurant for certain, but check if you want the Lounge. Will update if I hear from them in time. removed pending confirmation: $15 for $30 at Alfresco, which for those of you not up on your 'not immediately in the square' locations is the Italian & Mediterranean place just down Highland before you reach Willow. I know several people quite devoted to them.

Curb Alert: Mad scientists, tinkerers, and artists take note

I have just put a plastic grocery bag full of random electric/electronic things that mostly work on the curb in a plastic bag with a pink sign that says "FREE". Contents include: several strings of the old-fashioned big-bulbed incandescent multi colored Christmas tree lights, a digital timer, and an Eton hand crank emergency radio that still works but has many pieces broken off. 

Its on top of a garbage can in front of Engine 7's fire station on Highland Ave., about 2/3 of a mile outside of Davis, on the left-hand side of the street. I figure there's a pretty good chance some Somervillian can turn this into a great art project/costume/bicycle decor.
