Mystic River outdoor festival in Medford tomorrow

From 11 am to 4 pm tomorrow (Saturday 10/22) there will be a Mystic River Celebration at the Condon Shell on Route 16 near Medford Square.

The festival will include live music, food vendors, and craft booths.

It's a 35-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride from Davis Square, or you can take the 94 or 96 bus.

This Sunday: SomerStreets 'Monster Mashed-Up' and Oktoberfest on Somerville Ave

The final SomerStreets festival of the year will be Monster Mashed-Up this Sunday afternoon on Somerville Avenue, from Porter Square to Union Square.

The street will be closed to car traffic, and will feature live entertainment, "Monster Mash-Up" DJs, a costume parade, chainsaw pumpkin carving demonstrations by Artisan's Asylum, Ghosts of Somerville at the Milk Row Cemetery, a craft fair, and an Oktoberfest at the Union Square end.

Crime Alert - Assault, Elm St @ Holyoke Road

This is Deputy Chief Paul Upton of the Somerville Police Department with an important public safety message for residents in your area.

On Thursday evening, at about 11:30 p.m., a 23 year old woman was assaulted as she walked in the vicinity of Holyoke Road near Elm Street. [Added by Ron - This is just east of the Shaw's shopping center] The victim had walked from Porter Square toward Elm street . The victim reported that she was grabbed from behind and indecently assaulted before she screamed, apparently scaring off the suspect. The suspect then fled on Elm Street. This incident is similar to other recent incidents in this area.

The victim described the suspect as a white male, possibly in his mid-twenties, about 5’- 8” tall and was clean shaven. He was wearing a dark hoodie and possibly jeans. Anyone who has information about this incident is urged to contact Somerville Police at 617 625-1212, or text SPD617 to Tip411.

Does anyone know of a dentist within walking or public transportation distance of Davis that would be available this weekend, or after 6 on a weekday next week? I have a bit of a dental emergency. Bonus points if they take Delta Dental.

Edit: Not Gentle Dental. Their Yelp reviews terrify me.

When you stole my phone from me, it was really a well placed snatch and grab. And you're an excellent runner, but it's really no excuse for stealing my phone right out of my hands. I was trying to get directions, and it's really a bit hard to do that when the place with the maps is being run down the street.

Question about crazy ass landlord

If our house is falling down, as in has squirrels in the walls that have eaten the entire outside wall of one bedroom and shingles and left giant gaping holes AND our toilet is leaking ont our poor downstairs neighbors, please can we do anything like withhold rent or make them pay the heat at least?
