Free for pickup near Davis Square: a pre-assembled O'Sullivan entertainment stand with integrated shelving for turntable, stereo, DVDs, CDs, VHS, etc.. It's the stand pictured here:

http://www.usfreeads.com/622570-cls.html

It's a solid, heavy base for electronics and has all of the original shelves and hardware. Care to take it off of our hands?

(Please respond with email address if you're interested, or would like further information.)

Eastern Bank sent me a letter telling me that "In order for us to be compliant with new federal regulations, you will no longer be able to use your ATM card ending in [...] to make purchases using your Personal Identification Number (PIN) at locations, such as supermarkets, gas stations, or other retail stores effective March 21, 2012."

The letter goes on to say that the bank is replacing my ATM card with a Debit MasterCard which will allow me to continue making such purchases. I can decline the offer by February 17 and keep my ATM card, but then I can no longer use it to make purchases after March 21.

Anyone know more about this? Has any other bank sent out similar letters?

now that it has been gone for half a year, and is probably not ever coming back, which makes me a very sad panda...

are there any former employees who might like to, you know... slip me the recipe for the butternut squash sauce that was used on the Blue October?

My own attempts have been edible, but they feel like they are missing something.

I promise to only use the recipe for good.

(people who have successfully reproduced the flavour feel free to chime in. I have mostly worked with plain roasted squash with a little salt, but when I asked at Zing! once they told me it had something else in it, and it also seemed to get thinned out slightly so it was more akin to tomato sauce than squash puree)
