Join us this Sunday at the Nave Gallery for Knit & Sip Crochet Soiree, II.   We'll begin at 2:00 and go until 6 or so.

About Knit & Sip Crochet Soirees
Each November, the Nave Gallery in Somerville, MA hosts Wrap Around, a sale of affordable handmade goods to support the Somerville Homeless Coalition. All proceeds help fund the amazing work that SHC does, and anything not sold is donated to them.

This group meets monthly to knit, crochet, and create items for next November's sale. This is a really fun way to get your craft on and help keep someone warm during our very cold winters.

Hope to see you.  There will be coffee, tea, and some light snacks. Feel free to bring something to munch on if you'd like.

Porter Square Rezoning

All,

While this isn't DS-specific, it does involve our neighbor square (Porter).  Apparently the city is totally re-zoning the area to bring in huge buildings and displacing residents.  The comments in the news article bring up good points ... among them, redevelopment and revenue might be good, but to what cost?

Seems very similar to the discussions many of us had regarding the Winter Hill Bank/Dilboy Post recently.

Davis Square Theater?

I was interested to see this, earlier - is this actual news or have we discussed this recently? I've been a little out of touch.

Davis Square has a rock club now?

Apparently, the former Jimmy Tingle's theater is going to be a live music / comedy venue with a full bar, in addition to hosting the Actor's Shakespeare Project? It's not the most dry-fact filled article, I'm afraid.
