ROOMMATE NEEDED: This apartment is a rare find. It gets tons of light, has hardwood floors throughout, with linoleum flooring in the kitchen, and ceramic tile in the bathroom.

The current tenant is an established working artist and teacher in his 30's. Non-smoker, doesn't host parties, and keeps to himself. He's a wonderful guy! He works a lot, is rarely home other than to sleep, and uses part of the living room as his studio to paint. This is the perfect sublet for a grad student or young professional. Hear Tufts and close to Lesley University and a couple train stops from Harvard Univ.

Please email me to set up a time to see the space and let me know a little about yourself. I want to make sure that this is a match between him and you!

-1 bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment
-Bathroom
-Living room
-Dining room
-Office
-Foyer
-Kitchen with gas range, DISHWASHER! and refrigerator, and lots of cabinets/counters
-Washer and dryer (coin-op) in the basement.

Oh, yes! That's right. . .. A ROOF DECK! Great to lounge in the summer, wine and dine with friends, do some gardening in pots! I've lived here for about 7 years. The tenants that lived here before me were friends of mine who lived here for about five years and passed it along to me. This place hasn't been on the rental market in probably 12 years.

sublet (May 1st -- August 31st, 2012) with a possible option to renew the lease for another year (you can arrange that with the landlord). This apartment is amazing! Located just off Davis Square, a 5 minute walk to the T, in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's on the top floor. Landlord will need first&last months rent ($1800) and a credit check will be done. $900 PER MONTH.

Bike theft

Sometime very recently, my bicycle was stolen from outside my apartment in south Medford. This is about a 15 minute walk from Davis Square. For all intents and purposes, if you are reading this, there are bike thieves in your neighborhood.

Yes, I am reporting it to the police.
Yes, I would love it if people would keep their eyes out for it... But at the moment I am still so angry I can't remember the make... It's blue...

There is one place that sells bikes that I've always thought looked sketchy, but I'm not going to point fingers. I am going to browse what they have for sale just in case anything looks familar.

I was stupid and only had a regular lock on it, because my U-lock is rusted beyond usability. Please don't make my mistake. I knew I was being stupid, but I told myself I'd get a new lock soon, but I didn't do it in time. Funny thing is, my lock wasn't actually cut. The fence is very slightly damaged, bur not in a way that would have released the bike. I'm puzzled.

Anyway, moral of the story, people are scumbags, keep your bike as safe as possible.

Found this evening Sat 4/14 at Albion Park: a digital camera in a black carrying case. Camera card full of pictures of a child. If it's yours, email me a description of the child (for verification purposes) and we'll make arrangements to get it back to you.
EDIT: the camera has been returned to its owners.
