Anybody know what's up with the (former?) Broken Yolk space in Powderhouse Square?

It's dark brown, size Women's Large, excellent condition. Lined, has pockets, lots of fringes. $60 or best offer. (Sorry, no camera or I would show you pic.)

Not quite Davis Square, but this seems like as good a place to post this as anywhere. Wednesday, I found a dog tag on one of the trails in the Fells south of South Border Road near Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. It is heart shaped, reddish, and has the following information:

RABIES VACC
BACK BAY
VETERINARY CL
BOSTON, MA
617-247-2273 [still need to call]
11404
2012

possibly extraneous details... )

Anyone have a good idea why there's a speed indicator sign sitting on Highland Ave coming into Davis Square? It seems to start flashing around 24-25 mph, but as far as I've ever seen, the speed limit on all the roads around the square is 30 mph. If this is the city's passive-aggressive way of saying "slow down", I wish they'd actually include a speed limit sign with the expected speed somewhere nearby.

The Fitchburg Cutoff bike path (west of Alewife, heading toward Belmont from the start of the Minuteman) opened a month or two ago, but there were chain link fences blocking off the new storm overflow wetlands — until today! The linked boardwalks and sandy paths that wind through the pools and marshes for maybe half a mile are now open for business. I passed through at sunset, and saw quite a few birds; it looks like it'll be a pleasant local spot for wildlife watching, with scattered benches and overlooks.
