All Illuminations Trolley Tour tickets are now sold out

Blue Cloud Gallery sold their last Illuminations trolley tour ticket on Saturday (unfortunately, five minutes before a friend of mine tried to buy one). If you want to see the holiday lights now, you have three options:

0. Come to City Hall Saturday afternoon or evening, and try your luck. Sometimes people come in with extra tickets to sell, or there are no-shows which allow the Arts Council to sell the same trolley seat twice. The volunteers there try to keep a waiting list. (I'll be one of those volunteers, wearing an elf costume from about 4 to 5:45 pm)

1. Buy a tour map for $3 at City Hall on Saturday, or at Blue Cloud or Magpie starting next Monday. Drive, bike, jog, or walk the tour route on your own.

2. Join the Illuminations Bicycle Tour which assembles Saturday at 5:50 pm in front of Somerville High School. We leave promptly at 6 pm and ride for about an hour. We ask for a $5 donation to the Arts Council, which includes a copy of the trolley tour map. Enjoy hot drinks, snacks, and good cheer at City Hall before or after the ride. Please wear warm clothing and equip your bike with lights if you join us.
