Attention Cooks and Gardeners!

The Friends of the Somerville Library will be at the Winter Farmers Market in The Somerville Armory March 28 with a HUGE selection of cookery, gardening and landscape architecture books from 1950s to current.

All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Somerville Library and also support the farmer's market SNAP Match Initiative. SNAP payments, the "Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program" formerly known as Food Stamps are accepted and welcomed at the market in an effort to promote healthy food choices. See you there! (191 Highland Ave: bus #88 or #90)

My housemates and I are hosting a bookswap on Saturday, April 11th from 1pm-4pm.
Everyone is welcome. We ask that all participants bring at least one bag of books each. There is no fee to enter.
You can drop off your books on our porch the week before. (This enables sorting, making the swap easier for everybody!) You can take away as many books as you want, and leftover books (of which there are always many) will be donated to charity.
We live up the hill from Davis, near the Armory. Message me with your email address for directions and other details. :)

I added this to the prior Brown School post, but thought it deserved a separate post:

For those that commute through the Kidder/Willow intersection, here's the new traffic info:
One bus will leave the Brown @ 7:00. Multiple buses will leave the Brown @ 7:30. Afternoon buses will arrive around 3:00, and 5:45/6:00ish. (This means there should be no Brown School kid related traffic between the usual 8:00-8:15 rush). I am sure there will be construction truck traffic throughout the day. The way the fence is currently configured, construction vehicles will have to enter the work area from Josephine Ave.

They estimated that it will take a month to re-open the school.
