Ward 6 ResiStat meeting this Thursday, November 5

Mayor Joseph Curtatone and Ward 6 Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz invite you to attend the Ward 6 ResiStat neighborhood meeting on Thursday, November 5, at the Somerville Community Baptist Church at 31 College Ave. The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and will include an open Q&A with the Mayor and City staff, neighborhood and city updates, neighborhood crime stats, and other important information.

Please also join us before the meeting from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for pizza and a chance to speak one-to-one with City officials.

Healthy Tomorrow Annual Tree and Rug Sale Dec 12 & 13

On Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13 Healthy Tomorrow will hold its annual tree and rug sale at Unity Church, 6 William St (along College Ave, 4 blocks from Davis Sq.) from 11am to 4pm. Proceeds will go to fight female genital mutilation in Mali. Trees are Balsam firs from Nova Scotia and rugs are fairly traded tribal and oriental style rugs from Pakistan, India, Nepal, Afghanistan and other countries. Davis took 66% of the vote. All of the at-large incumbents won re-election.
