Remember "World of Beer" ? They're coming to Cambridge

The national World of Beer chain, which tried and failed to open at 240 Elm Street in Davis Square in 2013, is opening soon at CambridgeSide Galleria, in the spot vacated by California Pizza Kitchen.

World of Beer will have two beer gardens at the Cambridge River Festival on June 4. This year's festival will be along Cambridge Parkway and Lechmere Canal.

Did you miss yesterday's Porchfest? Or just want more Porchfest?

Five other greater Boston communities are having their own Porchfests this spring and summer. The closest one to us is East Arlington, on Saturday, June 11.

WHAT’S HAPPENING:

The Somerville Squeezebox Slam is a celebration of accordions, button boxes and other free reed instruments that we’ve come to know and love. Accordionists of all sizes, shapes, skill levels and musical genres are invited to stroll around the neighborhoods of Somerville, sharing their melodious sounds, and like pied pipers from an alternative fairy tale, beckon all to come and follow them as they head to Davis Square for a concert of some of New England’s finest squeezebox players. So dust off your grandfather’s squeezebox that’s been sitting in the attic and join us for an afternoon of pumping the bellows!
