Sullivan Square, Rt. 99, Santilli Circle, Wellington Circle..,

Among other things, this will probably affect people going to the plaza with the Costco, as it’s right across Rt. 16 from Santilli Circle where some of this construction is happening.

I actually went past the site a couple of weeks ago; it’s right behind the Everett McDonalds. Also right behind a venerable neighborhood sub shop.

This is a message from the Somerville, MA Community Alert System.

Hello, this is Jackie Rossetti with important snow emergency information for Wednesday, March 21. There are some changes to parking regulations for school lots for this storm, so please read/listen to this entire message carefully.

The City is declaring a snow emergency to go into effect at noon on Wednesday. Beginning at noon, cars will have 4 hours to move to the ODD side of the street (unless signage on your street says otherwise). Residents may park in any metered or City parking lot starting at noon, HOWEVER, elementary school lots will not be available for snow emergency parking until 1 p.m. Wednesday as school will be in session for a half day. Somerville High School parking lots will be available after 3 p.m. If you do plan to park in a school lot, please use caution as students, parents and staff may still be exiting schools and lots. Somerville Police officers will be stationed at all schools during pickup time on Wednesday to assist with safety and traffic flow. All other metered and municipal lots will be available at the start of the snow emergency at noon.

Also please note that if you park in a school or City lot, you must be able to move your car from the lot within 2 hours of the end of the snow emergency. So please do not park in a lot unless your schedule is flexible.

Again, as a reminder, this winter season cars must park on the ODD SIDE of the street (unless otherwise posted). Ticketing and towing will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday for cars that are not moved to the correct side of the street or to an off-street parking lot.

On Wednesday, Somerville Public Schools will operate on their normal schedules, but all afterschool activities are canceled. All City offices will be open Wednesday, and trash pickup is currently on a normal schedule.

For more information, please visit www.somervillema.gov/snow or contact 311.

Thank you as always for your cooperation and patience during this winter season.
