FirstWorks presents Haunted by Hypatia, a staged reading of an entirely new play written by local playwright Ingrid Oslund.
Catherine (Liz Salazar) a recently divorced astronomy professor, is slowly driven mad by the appearance of the ancient female scientist, Hypatia (J. Deschene) who was murdered by a mob for her radical, progressive assertions of the heavens.

FirstWorks is Theatre@First's workshop program for new plays. Playwrights have the opportunity to gain feedback on their work from experienced directors and actors during the revision process, followed by a staged reading with feedback from our enthusiastic and insightful audience.
