Saturday September 4, 2010
There will be a Shabbat lunch, a children's service and in the evening, a Slichot service.
Join us for services at 10:00 a.m. followed by a potluck, dairy/vegetarian Shabbat lunch. There will also be a children’s service at 11:30 a.m. Services at Havurat Shalom are egalitarian, lay-led and usually involve a lot of singing. The potluck is truly pot luck - no arranging of the dishes in advance. The meal is a good time to meet people and we welcome newcomers.
Slichot at 10:00 p.m.: A short service where we get to recall some of our HH nigunim and
liturgy and then get to write things about our sins/regrets/misdeeds
and put them in water to "wash them away"
