Artisan's Asylum has a couple of new advanced classes, a new computer-aided manufacturing course, and some other goodies. Take a look at our roster and see if anything tickles your fancy this month!

Metalworking
+ Introduction to TIG Welding on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One of our most popular courses returns! Come learn how to weld with Skunk. TIG welding is a precise type of welding generally used to make space frames and small pieces.
+ Precision Metal Machining. Get an introduction to milling machines and lathes and learn how to make your own precise metal parts.
+ Metalworking for Women. Our popular all-women class returns! Learn how to make sculptural metal pieces of art with MIG welders, spot welders, and a whole host of supporting metalworking equipment.
+ Metal Shop Basics. For those of us who just want to be able to use supporting metalworking tools like cutoff saws, grinders, vertical bandsaws and more in the metalworking area.
+ Forming Sheet Metal. It's possible to make an aircraft wing out of sheet metal using nothing more than a couple of planks of plywood, a router, some sheet metal, and a hammer. Come learn how.

Computer-Aided Manufacturing
+ CNC Mill Crash Course. If you have some machining experience, come learn how to use our CNC milling machine in a one-shot course designed to get you up and running building computer-cut metal parts.
+ Introduction to Computer-Aided Machining. Go through an entire CAM design cycle, from part outlines to creating G-code to having your parts run on the computer-controlled router at Artisan's Asylum. No experience required.

Woodworking
+ Building the Asylum. Our Intro to Woodworking class returns! Come learn how to use the woodworking shop by making workbenches and other infrastructure for the Asylum.

Electronics
+ Introduction to Electronics. An electronics class geared towards getting complete newcomers into working on their own hobby electronics projects in no time flat.
+ Electronics II: Operational Amplifiers and Analog Techniques. The next level of our electronics class, where students learn how to design circuits with 555 timers and operational amplifiers in order to work with audio and filter sensor signals.

Sewing
