I [the creator of said holiday] am from the Davis Square region, and I just thought maybe you'd be okay with me spreading the word here:
This sunday is Draw A Dinosaur Day! It's a simple, silly holiday in it's fifth year, designed to make people be creative and have fun.
Hope to see some dinosaurs from you, my fellow somervillians! And spread the word! :D

it's my understanding this is not a local event anywhere, it's internet based. it's just a fun thing for people to draw a dinosaur and then submit it at that website.
the OP is promoting it here because they are from here, and it is their event, apparently.
i'm not bothered by it, but whether it fits in with the rules is an entirely different subject matter :)

Being in Maine, I will try to remember to draw a dinosaur in the snow, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, since I am going snowshoeing in the woods tomorrow.
