davis_squareA group of Japanese parents is organizing a charity yard & bake sale on April 10 (Sun) in Belmont to help the victims of the Tohoku earthquake & tsunami. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Japan Society of Boston (http://www.japansocietyboston.org/). Further donations can be made at the time of the event. Please make checks payable to "the Japan Society of Boston" and earmarked for "Japan Disaster Relief".
Date: April 10 (Sun), 9am-2pm
Place: 139 Sycamore Street, Belmont, MA
Note: In case of rain it will be postponed to the following weekend.
Lots of donated items will be sold at the event, such as new and gently used clothing (for women, men, kids, and babies), kitchen equipments, home electronics, books, and lots more!
There will also be a bake sale with lots of home made Japanese sweets (in addition to the regular bake sale items like cookies and brownies), so you can munch on some yummy treats while you shop the yard sale!
