The Somerville Human Rights Commission is holding a fund raiser on Friday, April 29, at 8:00pm. The event, John Shea's racially charged play, "The Painter," will be followed by a public talk back with Shea, director Robert Lublin and actors Michael Nurse and Jared White. The talk will be headed by Sonja Darai, and will incorporate themes from the play, including racial intolerance, hatred and violence. Tickets are available through the Somerville Human Rights Commission or at the door on the night of the performance. Performances are at the Unity Church, 6 William Street, (corner of College Ave and William Street,) at 8:00pm. All proceeds from this event will go to the Somerville Human Rights Commission so they can continue workshops and public discussions about issues of humanity.
