Resident Parking during Holidays
Jul. 2nd, 2011 07:18 pmThis is more a Cambridge question, but those communities really aren't that active, so I hope it's OK to ask this here.
Does anyone know if resident/visitor's permits are required to park in resident areas during holidays? I know meters are free, but it would be easier on my guest if they could park near my apartment in Cambridgeport. Thanks.

Date: 2011-07-05 04:36 pm (UTC)It gets tricky when a date-fixed holiday falls on a weekend and the federal observance is on the nearest weekday. For example, if Christmas was on a Saturday, the federal observance would be Friday. When that happens, I'd call the city to check if both days have free parking.
