A sign on the vacant storefront next to Foundry (where Poor Little Rich Girl used to be, in the Gorin building) advertises:

Coming Soon:
FOUND
NEW * RESALE * RECLAIMED
Clothing and Accessories for Women and Men
Another sign lists e-mail addresses for employment and consignment information: employment@foundsomerville.com and consignment@foundsomerville.com . However, they don't yet have a website at that domain.

Are used clothes are becoming the new burritos?

Jesus christ, not another consignment. Can't we get a Gap or something?

Horrible idea starting a new business with that kind of overhead.

I heard from a reputable source that Buffalo Exchange is not doing well in that location with less rent.

Wish that Trader Joe's or something like that had been interested.

That space will switch hands again in a few years when the rent is increased, just like what happened to Macntyre and Moore, Jimmy Tingle, Poor Lite Rich Girl, etc.

Also "Found" next to "Foundry"? Funny.

Be careful or someone will open up a used burrito place.

If they sell fashionable new clothes at the same price as the Gap, sure.

Good names are hard to find, aren't they? "Found" next to "Foundry" is weird, but there's also a similar place in Ithaca, NY called — wait for it — FOUND in Ithaca. http://foundinithaca.com/

Yet another hipster clothing store. Pass.

I think "pass" in this instance means "no thanks, not for me".

Buy sell trade is not good for the neighborhood. Just take a look at who
is lining up outside Buffalo Exchange in the morning. People desperate for money for who
knows what. My guess is for drugs and beer money.

Nope, pass as in "not for me". I don't like shopping at places like that and it's an atrocious space for it. This'll go down in flames and people will bemoan the fall of "another local business", and the cycle will repeat.

The absurdity in this business opening is that it is replacing the same sort of business. One who has done well and specifically sited the high rent coupled with a corporate version opening across the street.

I feel bad for the owner of Found. I don't think they quite understand what they have gotten themselves into.

A burrito place would have a better chance of success frankly.

The Gap fashionable?

Ooops, been hanging out too long on FB...but I must agree with Ron here...Recycling useful goods with the community...fantastic...more Gaps, banks and Starbucks, no thanks...

It's not a very efficient way to get money for drugs or beer. I brought in several large bags of stuff I had undergrown with the hope of earning enough for lunch. They didn't want one thing. Garment District took about half of it and the rest I donated.
