Fortunately the entire rest of the path, from there to Bedford Depot, is now free of such obstructions. I just returned from a two-hour round trip on it, and never had to get off the bike to walk over or around anything.
There are a few muddy low-lying washouts between Seven Hills Park and Russell Field. A low-hanging branch will scrape your helmet (or your bare head) if you don't see it in time to duck, just north of Magnolia Field in East Arlington.
Much of the path is strewn with small twigs (which don't bother a bike, but aren't ideal for a roller skater), as well as leaves (which could become hazardously slick during or after the next rainstorm).
But maybe they'll replace it with one that makes more color in the fall. The ones in Seven Hills Park mostly turn brown, but I've seen Bradford Pears make the most gorgeous reds and oranges, all veined and framed in a beautiful deep mahogany color.
