If anyone here went to Davis Square Oktoberfest ...

how was it? I spent the whole afternoon with the HONK Parade, and then the Harvard Square Oktoberfest, and didn't get back to Davis until well after the event ended.

I wandered through at about 5pm, and it was so different from Harvard Square's. Most everyone was clumped into one of the drinking areas because there was nothing else to do. No street vendors, I mean. There was a stage with a band playing on it in the middle of the street, but very few people were hanging out listening to it. The difference between that and the performances I had just come from in Harvard was really staggering!

Wabbit and I enjoyed the Davis Octoberfest. We had pumpkin pie and sausage and pumpkin ravioli from Mike's, and wandered around listening to the oom-pa-pas and watching the Morris dancers. Didn't see anyone we knew, but it was still nice.
