Lost Cat

If anyone living around Ellington Rd finds an overly friendly gray cat (front paw declawed) with the tag Marcus on it, please let me know asap.

He escaped through a door I thought was fully shut this morning. He is tagged, but I'm really really worried and frightened for him.

He escaped approximately 12:15 pm today.



EDIT: Opened back door and he strolled back in, the little jerkface. Cat has been located and locked back inside.

Your edit is priceless. My late, much lamented jerkface did the same thing on more than one occasion - including one escape off a fire escape when we were removing an air conditioner - and always returned smug and thrilled with herself a couple hours later.

We have been living in terror of the day he finally managed to escape (He thinks of it as a Grand Adventure), and I am pleased to see he at least recognizes home. :)

He is notorious for doing this! When we lived in Illinois, he'd routinely get out and crawl into the escapement under our porch (why they put a porch over an emergency egress point is beyond me) and would happily nom on spiders til he got bored enough to want to come in.

I'm alternating between furious scoldings and relieved pets. ;D

As I mentioned elsewhere, he's a regular Houdini and it's only been a matter of time til he escaped the apartment's airlocks. I'll be much more careful with the back door in the future. :D

Thankfully he's never stayed gone more than a few hours. He was a stray when we found him... gracious, 8 years ago now, and I think he's never quite forgotten what it felt like to be hungry.

He stays REAL close to the kibble bowl. ;)
