There are only three performances remaining of The Big Broadcast of 1954!

Somerville's Post-Meridian Radio Players (PMRP) are performing their annual Halloween show this year at The Regent Theatre in Arlington! Tickets are available on-line and the Regent Theatre box office.

The nights grow long and daylight dwindles, the air cools and summer becomes but a faded mystery. It’s as if something is coming, too fast to avoid and the world is changing to accommodate it.

But what could it be? Oh yes…it’s October, and that means it’s time for our favorite Halloween show, The Big Broadcast!

First you can sit back and relax, as we open the evening with The Frank Cyrano Byfar Hour (written and directed by our very own

derspatchel), returning again as Frank and the gang deal with the threat of television in their own unique way. Join us as Frank matches wits with Katharine Hepburn!

And then, as the theater darkens around you, we present the classic American tale, Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (written especially for PMRP by Canadian playwright Roy Sallows, and directed by

thismightbejess). Don’t worry as you hear the pounding of the hooves, or shake with Ichabod Crane as he learns of the Headless Horseman. Try not to shudder as the story echoes with the music of local band Jaggery. But do be amazed by the live Foley sound effects and awed by the talent of our cast.

After all, the Horseman only wants one head. It probably won’t be yours…

Tickets are $20, $15 for students/seniors.

Sunday October 30th at 8pm - Costume Contest with Prizes!

As always we’ll have the old-time candies as well as an old time soda shop! And not only will we have Byfar Coffee Syrup, but this year we'll also have Byfar Coffee Soda!

So come to Arlington for Halloween. Just remember to watch your head! Bwahahahahahahahah!
