visit a painted temple

Somerville Open Studios is today (and yesterday) 'til 6m.
I just visited studio #15, the Masonic Temple at 115 College Ave, near Powderhouse. Wow!!! If you haven't seen this place yet, and you're in the area, get off your computer right now and go! You have less than 3 hours, and then they won't open to the public again until next year's open studios (I asked).

This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen at SOS. Don't miss it.

I noticed the sigil had been removed from the front of the building, and overheard some buzz about it being that artist's studio now. Has the building changed hands?

It's two artists, a Russian couple named Ekaterian Sorokina and Nicholas Shaplynko. I think they did the paintings together. They told me they bought the place and moved in two and a half years ago, and now it's where they live (which is why they don't open it to the public the rest of the year).

I saw it too! Stupendous, and Nicholas was amusingly chatty, yet understated.
Also, I got one of their postcards of it... I *guess* I shouldn't scan it in so people can see it, but the temptation, the temptation!
