Does anyone know of stores in the Davis/Harvard/Central area that sell parts to Italian/stovetop espresso makers (seen here)? Inside the espresso maker are a rubber gasket and a filter, and the gasket on one of mine is in pretty bad shape. I've looked through the chain convenience stores and Shaws near me but haven't found them; I'd imagine my best bet would be in specialty shops, but I haven't run across any in my traipses around Central/Somerville.

Thanks.

No promises, but that sounds like something Tags in Porter Square might have.

Hi David,

I don't know how this got trapped in the moderation queue, as we aren't supposed to even be a moderated community. I turned that setting off and hopefully it won't get turned on again.

Yup, they have the Bialetti gaskets at Tags, for sure. Or if you find the right person at a Peet's, they can get them as well, but with a two week+ wait.

Sessa's has a great collection of authentic Bialetti and other Italian makers, but I buy cheap knockoffs from the China Fair myself. They both stock gaskets.

Yes - Sessa's. I stopped in to replace mine a few months ago, and found that they are not only Stovetop Espresso Maker Central (I was shocked to see the multitude of 'em, stored up on shelves behind the register), but were more than happy to show and explain all different models to me, and explain that they have all the replacement parts. Their little window does not convey the inventory and excellent customer service in a cozy little store right in Davis.

I know, I sound like an ad - I was just pleasantly surprised.
