No Snow Emergency, So We'll Have to Settle for WFNX Challenge

Ah, Thursday mornings!  The brisk kiss of the icy rain in your face. The scent of the hot beverage of your choice or addiction promising faint solace and eventual wakefulness.

And the inevitable WFNX Challenge of the Mayors, "My Song is Better Than Your Song."  This week, Mayor Joe rides forth to do battle with Peabody, City of a Thousand . . .  uhmmmm . . . . well, we're not sure.

But we need to beat'em anyway

Just tune in to WFNX 101.7 FM at 9 a.m., then wait to hear both mayors introduce and play their songs.  Once voting is opened (and not before, please), VOTE for Mayor Joe’s song.

Voting is by Text, Phone, or Facebook -- or all three -- as follows:

Don't know if anyone was out there this morning to get the message and cast a vote. But if you participated, then many thanks. Mayor Joe's song selection, "We Are Young" by Fun, was the big winner. If we win next week, we tie the record and set up a rematch with arch-rival Melrose. (Ah, Melrose, we kid. We luv ya..)
