Farmer's Bounty is really gone now

I went by there today hoping to buy bananas and grapes, and maybe say a last goodbye. But the store is now totally closed and empty and mostly gutted.

Was this the one by Namaskar? I'm wondering if someone bought up several of those stores to turn them into something new?

Farmer's Bounty will be replaced by a frozen yogurt place; see earlier posts. I don't know what is happening to Namaskar.

My understanding (from talking to the former clerk at Farmer's Bounty) was that FB was a planned closure, and the landlord already had the new tenant (the frozen yogurt shop) lined up; not sure whether the new tenant drove out the old with a better lease, or if ends weren't meeting for FB and they let the landlord know well in advance.

Namaskar, on the other hand, seems to have caught everybody by surprise - I haven't heard anything about what might fill that space.

I, for one, am not so sad about this. I used to shop there at all the time, but a few years ago there was a new clerk who started working there that would always ring things up incorrectly, never in your favor. He would correct it when I caught him, but I decided I didn't want to shop at a place that would consistently try to rip me off. In addition, their listed prices kept going up, even as the variety and quality went down.

I wish I had a photo of the place with the old SUNDAY SPECIAL sign in the window. That's the Farmer's Bounty I want to remember.
