bloodstones:
"This is pretty much for Somerville residents. Obsidian is missing. He is entirely black, gold eyes, and is wearing a red collar with a bell, and has tags with his name and my number on it. It actually seems pretty unlikely that he got outside, with him being extremely skittish, and hating water; but we've searched the entire house and can't find him. We looked outside for awhile, but we can't find him outside anywhere either. The last time I saw him was shortly after 7 pm (about two hours ago). If you're walking around in the Tielle or Davis area please keep an eye out."
If you can help in any way or have some information, please do!
Update: the cat has been located, at least. He seems to have made his way into a heating vent in our entryway—now we just need to figure out how to lure him out.

Date: 2005-05-25 10:29 am (UTC)We had a cat fall into our heating system when we were painting once and the vent covers were off. Had to take the furnace apart to get at him (luckily it was summer so the furnace hadn't been *on*...) Big pain.
And, of course, the ducts carried his echoing cries all through the house, so for several hours it sounded as if the walls were meowing. Very, very weird.
But yeah, sounds like nothing a screwdriver (if you need to remove a cover on the vent) and some tuna can't fix...
