RAWR! Who stole this Weekly Dig box from Davis Square?

This Weekly Dig box, designed by artist Cat Tweedie at Artisan’s Asylum, has disappeared from its home outside Mike's Restaurant in Davis Square. If you have any information about its current whereabouts, please contact the Somerville Police and/or craigt@digpublishing.com . Thank you.

It is one of five Asylum-designed Dig boxes placed around Somerville earlier this spring.

I can verify that it has been missing since at least last Friday at lunchtime; I went to get a Dig to read over lunch and the box wasn't there.

Yeah, it was missing last Wednesday when I went to grab a Dig. So sad — it's such a great piece. I was hoping they'd removed it for repairs or something.

It's unlikely, but has anyone contacted the DPW? I know they've confiscated news boxes in the past, and there was that incident where they took elements's trike.

The Dig page that I linked to above says:

I got in touch with the city of Somerville and they reported that they did not have the box.

Also, Mayor Curtatone has called for the box's return.
