Somerville / Cambridge Photography Group?

I am curious if anyone knows of local photography groups or meet ups; I am looking for like minded people into photography to go on some city photo excursions with.

I tried meet up.com and was underwhelmed, wondering if perhaps anyone else knows of a local group, or if there is not one, if there is perhaps interest in starting one up.

Since you aren't getting much help here, I thought I would mention that Lesley COllege has opened up an Art Institute (the edu franchise) right in Porter and has an MFA in photography program. I have no idea if they'd have anything relevant for you but might be worth exploring :)

Otherwise, NESOP has decently fun workshops which are pretty good for meeting folks. Some are just a day and focus more on shooting.

I'd be interested in something like this too, so if you find anything please do report back (or if you decide to start one up). There are several Boston groups on Flickr at one point did have semi-regular meetups, but don't seem to be too active lately. Still, that might be another place to look.

This sounds like something I would enjoy! But I am moving north soon, so it won't be particularly convenient for me. :(
