On behalf of the Massachusetts Highway Department, the City of Somerville has allowed the closing of Sycamore Street to facilitate the removal and replacement of the existing bridge over the MBTA railroad tracks.
Sycamore Street will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the limits of Willoughby Street and Richdale Avenue.
The closing of Sycamore Street will occur at 7:00AM on June 6, 2005.

Heyy, why not take _Every_ Somerville rail overpass out, eh?
Date: 2005-06-06 11:02 am (UTC)So turning onto Willoughby from Central is right out. Damned inconvenient, though green folk would gently remind me that it's 'traffic calming'. I'll hear the birds chirping, and the neighbors' rooster crowing, much better.
