Hi everyone!
We're having another spaghetti dinner at sprout next week! It should be interesting... Check it out! Here's the information:
Everywhere you turn you hear that education is changing, failing, under siege, undergoing revolution, or just that something big and momentous is happening. This dinner is about exploring new visions for what learning could look like in the future.
This dinner will bring together people and ideas inspired by one of sprout's favorite books: Mindstorms by Seymour Papert. The title of this dinner is an homage to the last chapter of Mindstorms, which explores exactly this question. The speakers, performances, and talks you'll see tonight are all answering the same question in different ways, "What could it look like for learning and living to be rendered indistinguishable?"
Join us for dinner, drinks, and an exciting program on July 16 at 730PM including a discussion of sprout’s newest project developing The Somerville STEAM Academy, an innovation school within Somerville High School, the pedagogy behind Marcus Santos' Brazilian drumming groups Grooversity, She-BOOM, and AfroBrazil, and more...
